As an organization founded by an adoptee, Adoption Network Cleveland has always been committed to providing services for all adopted persons.
to learn more about the implementation of the new law allowing birth record access for Ohio adoptees.
We offer a series for adult adoptees entitled Adoptee Journeys
, an in-depth series of evening workshops that explore different aspects of being adopted and related issues.
Our General Support and Discussion Meetings
are a place where you can find a safe and supportive environment to help with life issues that are often part of the adoption experience. General Meetings, which are open to anyone, are held in four locations each month in Northeast Ohio, Northwest Ohio, in Columbus, and in the Dayton area. The opportunity to connect with other adoptees, birthparents, adoptive parents and others often helps adoptees understand their own feelings and experiences in a different light. The connection with others who share the same issues can be a powerful and healing experience for everyone involved.
In addition, you can find support and answers to your questions by calling our Adoption Helpline
at (216) 325-1000. The Helpline is available 9:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays.
One of the primary services we provide for adult adoptees is search assistance
for those interested in searching for their birthparents or siblings. If you choose to search through Adoption Network Cleveland, you “own” your own search. We give you the knowledge, tools and support needed to complete it, and will assist as needed. We also provide emotional support before, during and after your search is completed.
Search assistance and support is one of the benefits of becoming a member
of Adoption Network Cleveland at the search level. For more information about searching, click here
