 also a parent by birth\, adoption\, and foster care. She has co-authored t
 wo books on open adoption\, The Open Adoption Experience\, and Cooperative
  Adoption. She is the recipient of an ‘Angel in Adoption’ award from the C
 ongressional Coalition on Adoption Institute\; ‘Humanitarian Award’ from t
 he American Adoption Congress and awards from The North American Council o
 n Adoptable Children\, ATTACh\, and the Annette Baran and Rubin Pannor Awa
 rd for Outstanding Work in Adoption. Sharon’s most recent book is The Seve
 n Core Issues in Adoption and Permanency\, co-authored with Allison Maxon 
 and released in 2019.
