 eant to be a supportive discussion group for members of the adoption triad
  and those who support them. They provide an opportunity for participants 
 to listen to the experiences and perspectives of others who understand\, s
 hare their perspectives\, and learn from each other. \n\nWhile most of our
  General Discussion Meetings have an open discussion format\, the August 2
 5 meeting will have a special topic\, 'Parenting While Adopted.' Having ch
 ildren can be a very powerful experience for adoptees and can bring with i
 t a biological connection they never experienced as well as an expanded vi
 ew of pregnancy\, birth\, and parenting. The impacts can vary as every jou
 rney is unique. Some describe parenting as profound and healing\, some fin
 d it brings them closer to their adoptive family and awakens a new appreci
 ation\, and some find it compels them to search for their own genetic iden
 tity and medical history for themselves and their children. Join us as we 
 explore the journey that adoptees experience as parents. Space is limited 
 to maintain the ability of those registered to participate in the discussi
 on. Our special topic meetings are very popular and frequently have a wait
 ing list. \n\nThis meeting will be led by volunteer facilitators Barbara a
 nd Dan. Our General Discussion Meetings meet via the Zoom platform (which 
 can be accessed through a home computer/laptop\, tablet\, or mobile phone)
  and will require an internet connection or phone data connection. \n\nPre
