Sharon Messam has served as a Kinship & Adoption Navigator with OhioKAN for the past five years, joining the organization as one of the original navigators hired in 2021. 

She holds an associate degree in Community Mental Health/Habilitation Technology from Cuyahoga Community College and a certificate in Secondary Education from Shortwood Teachers College in Jamaica. She also took classes in Special Education at Cleveland State University. With over 30 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities and nearly 20 years as a foster parent, Sharon brings a wealth of personal and professional expertise to her role. 

Outside of work, Sharon enjoys traveling, particularly cruising, as well as reading, walking, and exercising. She is honored to continue her journey as a navigator with Adoption Network Cleveland.
