Nominations are now open for Adoption Network Cleveland’s annual Advocate of the Year Award.
The Advocate of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Adoption, Child Welfare, or DNA Discovery fields or community(ies) in Ohio as demonstrated by a specific accomplishment, project, program, or milestone meeting one or more of the following criteria:
- Contributed through exceptional volunteer efforts
- Influenced the wider community through their advocacy and outreach efforts
- Improved the lives of individual children and teens waiting for adoption
- Enhanced the experiences of adoption triad members by providing information, advocacy, or other support.
The following individuals are not eligible for award nomination:
- Current ANC Board or staff member
- ANC Board or staff position within the past 2 years
- Current ANC General Meeting or support group facilitator
The awardee will be chosen by a selection committee and will be presented at Adoption Network Cleveland’s annual meeting in November.
