Do something DARING for a good cause

WHEN: Saturday, August 22, 2026 (rappel times will be between 8am and 5pm -- sign-ups come closer to the event)
WHERE: 1300 E. 9th Street, Downtown Cleveland, Ohio -- a 255-foot rappel
 

We had such a thrilling time last year going Over The Edge we decided to do it again! This urban rappelling adventure provides a unique experience for our brave participants while, at the same time, raises funds to support continued excellence in program and service delivery for our wonderful Adoption Network Cleveland community.

Among Adoption Network Cleveland's core values is both COURAGE and TRUST -- as well as inclusiveness and collaboration. This is your chance to ask friends and family to COLLABORATE with you to get to your fundraising goal. And guess what -- your friends and family can take the challenge, too -- INCLUSIVITY is a core value, too, don't forget. The only thing that's more fun than you being part of our urban rappelling adventure is if you invite your friends and families to join you!

Last year, we had around 65 rappellers answer the call -- how many will we have this year?  And, most importantly, will YOU be one of them?

PARTICIPATE IN THREE EASY STEPS

STEP ONE: CLICK HERE to sign up! 

  • Easily set up your personal fundraising page.  

  • Set aside 5-10 minutes to complete this step.  

  • Your $50 registration fee counts toward your $1,000 and is non-refundable

STEP TWO: Reach the $1,000 fundraising minimum by August 14, 2026, to secure your rappel spot.

STEP THREE: Experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rappel Over The Edge with Adoption Network Cleveland!

You will have the option to register as an INDIVIDUAL, to CREATE A TEAM or to JOIN A TEAM that's already been created. Regardless of which route you choose, any individual who wishes to rappel must reach the fundraising goal to participate. 
  • If you opt to register as an INDIVIDUAL, you will set your fundraising goal to be $1,000.
  • If you opt to go the TEAM route, your goal will depend on how many individuals from your team wish to rappel (example: if you have three team members who want to go Over The Edge, your team goal is $3,000).  You are able to edit your Team fundraising total as you continue to add members.

From the NBA to the ANC going OTE

We are thrilled that Tim Alcorn will be playing a key role in our 2026 Over The Edge festivities.  As our emcee, he will share the stories of our rappellers as they make their way down the south-facing side of 1300 E. 9th Street.

You may also be aware that since the 2019 season, Tim's iconic voice has told the in-game story of the Cleveland Cavaliers through his role as the team's radio play-by-play broacaster.  He is also the host of the weekly Cavs HQ podcast.
 
We are so grateful that Tim is spending part of the Cavs offseason with us, adding "urban rappelling" to his broadcasting credits. Thank you, Tim!  We can't wait to hear you in action.

Sarah and Patricia will be hosting four Over The Edge Info Sessions for those who are either interested in learning more about the event or those who have registered and have questions.  Each session will take place virtually (via Zoom) from 12pm-12:30pm on a Thursday.  Please click on the date you'd like to register for:

It is NOT required for you to attend an info session in order to register.  These are simply opportunities for you to learn more and perhaps even connect with other Over The Edge participants.
