Services for Families & Youth
Adoption Network Cleveland serves all current and prospective families connected to adoption and foster care, including adoptive, kinship, foster, and birth families to support them, celebrate the joys, and meet the unique challenges they may face. Among the program components within our services for families are telephone and in-person support from our program staff, monthly gatherings and workshops, and overall family support.
Our services include:
-
Family Ties Parent & Youth ProgramOur Family Ties Program takes a holistic approach to serving adoptive, kinship, and foster families through strategies that meet the needs of the family and focus on their strengths. Through participating, parents discover the tools, knowledge, and support system they need to successfully parent their child(ren) and children feel safe, supported, and capable of developing healthy habits. The program includes one-on-one support, monthly groups, educational opportunities, peer network building, normalizing family social activities, information and referral, and personal advocacy.
See our Program Calendar for upcoming events!
-
Weaving Cultures Transracial Family GroupThe Weaving Cultures Transracial Family Group is for families who have been formed through transracial adoption. Its purpose is to offer a setting where both children and adults can form relationships and spend time with other families who share similar experiences through social and educational opportunities.
Parents can also connect with other transracial adoptive parents in our Weaving Cultures Transracial Adoptive Family Group through our private group on Facebook.
Find out what events are scheduled, including our virtual peer support group specifically for transracial adoptive parents, and register through our calendar.
